Our History

BOUNCE started with a plan to help athletes deal with the pesky task of finding shoes. Whether you have struggled finding the perfect pair because your team has uniform shoes, or you are just uncertain about what is best for you and are just going off of the look, you're likely to have experienced the frustration of foot pain, soreness, lack of durability, or just general dislike.

Our founder, Abby Gentile, is a college and professional volleyball player, and has played at all levels. Throughout her time playing this far, Abby has played in many pairs of shoes that she has loved and hated. Shoes that look cool were often uncomfortable, and shoes that she thought were perfect ended up causing serious issues.

Two seasons in a row, she found herself in what she thought to be perfect. She loved these shoes - however, they were directly linked to two season-ending injuries, which she was unaware of since she did not do her research thoroughly.

Due to these struggles, she found it necessary to give athletes the resources to not have to suffer the way she has. Thus, BOUNCE was born. Athletes will now be able to find shoes that they can be sure will not, in any way, contribute to season-threatening injuries which can contribute to poor mental and physical health.
